Looks like we’re now theme developers too

Citrus Store breaks cover and sets the LemonStand world alight

A few months ago we decided to take the plunge and build our very own ecommerce theme. Anyone familiar with our work lately will not be surprised to hear that the ecommerce platform that we have selected for our theme is LemonStand – the best online store system on the market, bar none.

So after beavering away for months we are finally very proud to say that the totally awesome Citrus Store theme has now been released into the wild and is available on the LemonStand Marketplace.

And what’s so good about it I hear you ask. Well it’s like this: we’ve built a lot of online stores using a lot of ecommerce systems and Citrus Store represents the culmination, nay the pinnacle, of our knowledge and experience. Here’s a quick list of some of the features that we’ve squeezed into it:

  • Based on the best platform – LemonStand
  • Fully responsive – great on a desktop, great on a smartphone
  • Bootstrap
  • LESS
  • Mini cart
  • Image rollovers
  • Customer account pages
  • Facetted filtering

And we’ve thought about the support side of things too and have created docs, issue log and even Citrus Store’s very own wiki.

Naturally we were very interested to hear what the good folks at LemonStand thought about Citrus Store, the latest theme to be based on their platform. We’ll we needn’t have worried because they given it a very glowing assessment. Here’s what they said:

“Absolutely amazing work. Please congratulate everyone who worked on this. I am thoroughly impressed. Thank you so much contributing such great work to the Marketplace. Themes of this calibre really help. They encourage others to submit their work. They increase the overall quality of the Marketplace. They provide good options for new customers.”

And we didn’t even pay them to do so – honest!

I’d like to take this opportunity to thank the team for the amazing effort in creating this theme in particular Laura, Andrew and Ian whose efforts early on in the project were invaluable and instrumental in its success. Well done guys.
