About Our Client.

From humble beginnings to being one of Australia’s leading mountain bike retailers, For The Riders (FTR) have built a successful business around quality customer service and a real passion for two-wheeled, off-road machines! With a great range of mountain bikes, frames, parts, accessories, apparel and more, FTR have a physical store in Annerley, Brisbane & an ever-growing online store. With staff that live & breathe MTB combined with the philosophy that they only sell what they would ride themselves, FTR is the go-to for the Mountain Bike Community.

The Challenge.

The first challenge presented to us on this project was migrating the site from the existing Magento platform and integrating the new online store with their POS system, Retail Express. The project required our tech-savvy team to import customers, products and images from the previous online store and create integration that meant the online store, inventory and POS system hooked-up seamlessly. The other challenge was creating the design and functionality for the online store to not only showcase the products, but also the Workshop and Rental service offered by FTR.

What we did.

After meeting with FTR and getting the project brief, it was decided that Shopify would be the best platoform to create the functionality, customisation and user-experience needed for the FTR online store. We went on to design and develop customised pages across the site as well as the functionality to use 3 blogs simultaneously! With some lateral thinking and clever code, we were also able to give FTR the ability to add demo/rental bikes and workshop services quickly and easily.

The Result.

The result was a new Shopify online store that is fully responsive, showcases FTR’s awesome products and services and features on-brand custom design that we think inspires MTB enthusiasts worldwide.
