What we did.
The first step in our process was to facilitate a branding workshop with the Acacia team to get to know the business inside out, gain inspiration and ensure we were completely across the creative direction for the business. From there, our creative team went to work creating a full brand package that included a logo, typography and colours all pulled together in a brand guidelines document.
Once the brand was locked in, our design and development team collaborated and came up with the perfect plan to utilise Shopify to deliver all Acacia Textiles wanted to achieve with their new online store. Our web design team custom designed the look and feel of the site to reflect the new brand, utilising the colours and typography to showcase the Acacia Textiles fabrics. The product pages were also designed with additional features to improve the customer experience, including easy selection of colour and material options.
Without the need for additional apps, our talented development team was then able to customise some amazing additional functionality for the site. This included special login functionality, filtering of product collections, showing pricing and allowing wholesalers to add to cart and check out when logged in.
A big priority for the web build was to ensure the online store was easy to manage for the Acacia Textiles team and that it worked seamlessly with their current business processes. The BA team provided a personalised training session with the staff so they felt confident using the Shopify platform along with creating added flexibility so that changing button text, image galleries and other site elements was really simple. We also worked with a third party provider to seamlessly integrate the inventory management system, Cin7, with the Shopify store.
